I’m with UNISON, which represents people working in local government and education. They’ve managed to negotiate some pay rises for local government workers, but beyond that, I haven’t found them particularly helpful. Still, it’s worth joining a union for the protection it offers. Unfortunately, there isn’t a dedicated union for technicians 😕.
